Tarcoles River , Jungle Crocodile safari , or birdwatching :)
This was on a boat trip and the swallows followed us around the tour. After a while I discovered that they nested in the back of the boats roof. :)

I just shake my head. Your 16 days in Costa Rica takes speed birding to a whole new level, did you wear out a camera? Did you sleep?
SvaraRaderaLooks like our tree sparrow. Nice capture. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
SvaraRaderaGreat photos of an interesting bird.
SvaraRaderaI don't see swallows often in my locality, but when I do it's always in flight; hard to photograph! Enjoyed yours.
SvaraRaderaWonderful birds to see..
SvaraRaderaI love all the swallows, they are such neat birds. Great sighting and photos.
SvaraRaderaSpringman, no, not much sleep. Usually up at 5-6 in the morning when it was still dark. I think we had about 10h of birding each day when we did not travel. I am now posting from day 8 so there are still lot to find in my files. I´m half way. Barely! :)
SvaraRaderaThat's a novel place to have a nest! Beautiful swallows!
SvaraRaderaSuch a pretty swallow with it's iridescent head. We have often watched our welcome swallows circling ferries on river crossing and nesting under them.
SvaraRaderaI enjoy Swallows so much and this Mangrove Swallow species is wonderful as well!
