About Volcano Hummingbird at wiki:
Quote:  "The Volcano Hummingbird (Selasphorus flammula) is a very small hummingbird which breeds only in the mountains of Costa Rica and Chiriqui, Panama.
This tiny endemic bird inhabits open brushy areas, paramo, and edges of elfin forest at altitudes from 1850 m to the highest peaks. It is only 7.5 cm long. The male weighs 2.5 g and the female 2.8 g. The black bill is short and straight."

In my book it says the population has 3 races in CR. Wiki don´t mention that. It seems like 3 different areas has a slightly different looks on the males. 1) Irazu & Turriabla Volcanoes, 2) Talamanca Cordillera and 3) Poas & Barva volcanoes.  This bird would be the Talamanca male.

I love comments so please write something. I usually responds to everyone on their own blogs. But nowadays I often find it impossible to comment on many blogs or on Google+. Often the word verifications is unreadable. And after three times I give up. Other times the systems seems to think I am a spammer. Lots of bloggers loose comments that way. :( So, if you don´t see me comment on your blog that is the reason.
