In my opinion this is a mean looking bird. :) It seems like they don´t eat ants but follow the army ants and prey of what they flush out of hiding. They live on the Caribean side of CR.

About  Fasciated Antshrike on Avainweb, there are some shots but not much info about it. :(

When you are in Costa Rica you are bound to see some parrots. This is the first wild parrot I encountered. The second birding day of the tour. There should be some red on the wings that is not visible in these shots. The only videos I found on youtube is on pet-birds. No wild ones. :(
